If I remember correctly, you can plug in a scantool (dealer item) into the plug under the steering wheel (passenger side maybe?) and watch the IAT drop to like -3 degrees.

black wire from boost gauge- provides ground when there is +0" vacuum
black/yellow wire- +12V should be tapped to ign. source. provides voltage all the time ignition is on.
red/yellow wires- tapped to IAT temp wire.
With the scan tool, when relay kick "clicks" on, there should be a 1*F reading. when not boosting, whatever the temperature is around the sensor.
